MAIN CHANNEL – youtube.com WEBSITE – lululol.com I just watched the first episode of the new cartoon web series “The LeBrons”. Here is my review in a nutshell. I enjoyed the animation and thought that it has a nice message for kids. The jokes are stale at best and the characters are shallow pieces of LeBron’s ego. Talk about an egomaniac. Animals talk and own houses, yet Athlete LeBron is scared to see a Lion in the living room. A character is scared of being bit by a dog but gets his entire leg crushed in a door and feels little to no pain. Um, I’ll take the dog bite please. The whole thing reeked of advertisement on steroids. There were so many product placements I couldn’t tell when the actual show was starting. From Nike clothes & shoes, HP Computers and the Bing search engine, one is never given a rest from constant brand bombardment. Even when the product placement is not specifically drawn for you to see, the Old Man (Wise) says “Kibble N Bits”… I wonder how much KNB had to pay for that little name drop. Anyway, I can only imagine the product placement becoming even more bloated. Perhaps in a future episode Kid LeBron will want his birthday party a Chuck E. Cheese, drive there in a GMC Truck, drink Coca-Cola and Diet Coke, receive a Zune and a new copy of Microsoft Windows 7 and then go home to play Halo on XBOX 360 while snacking on some Frito Lays and Chips Ahoy cookies. Yea. If for some reason you want to follow me on Twitter, you can do so here. – http
